Asheville Birthday Weekend

Hidden within the beautiful Asheville mountains, I loved every minute of calling the charming Grove Park Inn home for a few days this past weekend.

We ate breakfast on Friday morning at Biscuit Head and it was absolutely delicious.  This place has countless jams and jellies to choose from to top their melt in your mouth biscuits or you can choose from many biscuit sandwiches.  We enjoyed the pulled pork biscuit with jalapeƱo pimento cheese, bacon, poached egg, and maple syrup. It was just amazing.

After breakfast, we were off to spend time with family in lovely Western North Carolina and I took Jonathan around to show where I grew up.  I forget how stunning it is there with all of it's simplicity.

On Saturday, I celebrated my birthday with a lovely lunch at the inn with mimosas and a lobster cobb salad before heading to the Biltmore House.  We enjoyed drinks in the evening and went out to dinner while my sweet mama watched Lucy.

On our way home on Sunday, we stopped at the Burntshirt Winery and enjoyed some stunning views with our wine.

It was a great last little getaway for the summer.  Now working on getting ready to welcome 40 sweet 4 year olds very very soon!  2 weeks left in summer is quite hard to believe.
